With a microwave, you don’t need to turn on your stove or oven to make your breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even dessert. Yes, we are not kidding.   1. Egg Sandwich

One of the most popular microwave meals is egg. Cuz nobody ever said you can’t cook eggs in a microwave. You can make a variety of egg dishes using a microwave, but our favourite is egg sandwich.  Pour your egg into a custard cup coated with cooking spray and microwave it uncovered, on high for 30 seconds then stir. Then again, microwave for 15-30 seconds or until the egg is almost set. Top it with any salsa you like and sprinkle with cheese for extra flavors.

  1. Baked Sweet Potato

In the mood for some light healthy lunch? Then, why not make a simple sweet potato treat. Here is a simple sweet potato recipe that includes butter, salt, and pepper. And all you have to do is, place the potato in the microwave for just five minutes, you will have a delicious baked potato — without any baking. Just add some butter and salt on top and taa-daa lunch is done. You can also add a mixture of protein, vegetables, and cheese to make them a full meal.

One of the easiest microwave meals to pull off is mac and cheese and it only takes 10 minutes. To make, get yourself a small cup and pour it with whole grain elbow pasta and add any cheddar shredded cheese of your choice. Leave in the microwave for about 10 minutes and your meal is ready. If you're looking to take that recipe to the next level, include some herbs like thyme, oregano or chives (or, all three, hehe!)

Here’s a simple microwave meal using chicken that takes only about 4-5 minutes of cooking time. All you gotta do is first clean the chicken breast, then top it with soy sauce, garlic powder and pepper. Then, sprinkle some cheese and dot with butter. Cover it and cook on high for 4-5 minutes in your microwave, and your chicken is ready to serve.

Although it may sound counterintuitive, you can make fried rice in the microwave. It takes about 5-10 minutes to cook, or slightly longer if you include eggs. Here’s how to make it. Add rice, cup chopped vegetables, any meat of your choice, tablespoon of cooking oil, tablespoon soy sauce and 1 ½ cup of water and some chill (if you like spice) in a bowl. Put in the microwave and let us cook for about 10 minutes. Check to see if the rice has cooked, and if it hasn't cooked for another 10 minutes and your fried rice should be done.

With just a couple of ingredients and a mug, you have a super yummy cookie. It’s pretty simple to make with just a few ingredients. Mix butter, brown sugar, sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla extract, flour and of course chocolate chips. Stir all the ingredients together in the mug and place it in the microwave for 1-3 minutes, depending on how you like your cookies texture and then you have a moist, personal cookie.

To make this fish dish, prepare 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth, 1 small onion, sliced, 2 sprigs of fresh parsley, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 5 peppercorns. Mix all these ingredients together for about 2-3 minutes, then add your salmon fillets. Make a simple sauce and taa-daa the fish dish is done.

Press into a greased 9-in. square and microwave it for 4-6 minutes or until chips are glossy; spread chocolate evenly over top. Then, refrigerate for 15-20 minutes before cutting.
